We're seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Marketing Associate to join our growing team. This role will support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and ticket sales for our events. Additionally, the candidate will assist in building and managing the ticketing process to ensure smooth sales and entry experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable juggling multiple projects, and brings creativity and analytical thinking to everything they do.

About This Role

In this role, you’ll support marketing and ticketing efforts that promote 400+ live events each year across the Forty5 family of brands, including Rock the Ruins, The Vogue Theatre, The Tobias Theater at Newfields, and Turntable. Your work will help drive event awareness and ticket sales, attracting fans from across central Indiana and the Midwest.

You’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities, including website maintenance, social media management (both organic and paid), show-related email communications, radio promotions, giveaways, and more. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain experience across multiple marketing disciplines and develop the skills needed to grow into any path you choose within the field. You'll be challenged to think creatively, strategically, and tactically every day, while being part of a supportive, high-energy culture that values learning, growth, and big ideas.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and update event listings on the website(s) to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Build, organize, and manage ticketing processes for events.
  • Create, manage, and publish organic social media content across relevant platforms.
  • Create, manage, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns to maximize reach and ticket sales.
  • Draft, design, and send show-related email campaigns to targeted audience segments.
  • Coordinate with radio stations by soliciting and submitting promotional proposals.
  • Support promotional giveaways to boost event awareness and audience engagement.
  • Assist with street team activities for local event marketing.
  • Perform occasional errands and support special projects as needed to ensure smooth marketing operations.
  • Coordinate and maintain guest lists for events and shows.
  • Produce basic graphic design assets (ex: social media graphics, email banners, flyers, and more) using tools like Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Monitor marketing performance metrics and report on the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support events and promotions.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • All show marketing tasks and special projects are completed on deadline, with attention to detail and minimal need for revisions.
  • Event listings are consistently accurate and up-to-date across all web and ticketing platforms, ensuring fans always have the latest information.
  • Organic and paid social media campaigns are published on time with engaging content that drives ticket sales.
  • Email marketing campaigns are well-crafted and timely, with strong open and click-through rates that contribute to measurable sales.
  • Giveaways and promotions are executed smoothly and compliantly, generating excitement and growing audience reach.
  • Radio and media buys are effectively managed, with proposals being submitted to artist teams on time.
  • Efficiently manage the ticketing process to maximize sales, minimize errors, and ensure a smooth experience for attendees from purchase to event entry.
  • You take initiative to learn new tools and platforms, constantly improving your skills and contributing new ideas to the team.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • You embody a positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, even when juggling multiple deadlines or shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in marketing, communications, or a related field (including internship experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Experience with social media platforms and familiarity with posting tools like Meta Business Suite or Sprout
  • Familiarity or experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
  • Strong analytical skills - able to collect, interpret, and accurately report data in a clear and organized manner
  • Basic knowledge of email marketing tools (ex: Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
  • Comfort with website content management systems (ex: WebFlow, Squarespace, or similar) for updating event pages
  • Ability to create and manage paid social media ads
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to occasionally work nights, weekends, or attend events as needed
  • Enthusiasm for live music, entertainment, and event culture
